NEW HANOVER TOWNSHIP PA – Pipe replacement installations on Route 663 in New Hanover, between Swamp Pike and Swamp Picnic Road, are planned for sometime between Monday (June 5, 2023) and June 16 (Friday), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation warned.
PennDOT did not specify the day or days when the local work will be performed. Possibly that’s because seven other similar installations are scheduled during the same two weeks at locations across Montgomery and Chester counties, it added.
All are being completed by general contractor Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown under a larger $14.9 million, 90-location project. The installations are intended to address storm water management issues, according to PennDOT.
All work will be performed on weekdays only between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. There were no indications of lane closures planned, but PennDOT advised drivers “to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur.” The contractor’s schedule depends on acceptable weather.
