KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Concrete patching operations that continue next Monday (June 17, 2024) will persist through late October on eastbound U.S. Route 422 across portions of Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships.
The work is part of a $6.9 million Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) project to repair pavement between the highway’s Route 29 and Route 363 interchanges. PennDOT also will perform bridge deck repair, diamond grinding, and joint sealing; and install reflective pavement markings.
- A single-lane closure is scheduled for weeknights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, and Sundays as needed, on eastbound 422 between its Phoenixville-Collegeville interchange at state Route 29 and its Bridgeport-Valley Forge interchanges at state Route 23. The closure is expected to last until Oct. 31 (Thursday).
The department’s King of Prussia office advised drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. It warned backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
J.D. Eckman Inc. of Atglen PA is the project’s general contractor.
