Oct. 3 (Saturday)

- East Pikeland Township Community Day, noon to 4 p.m., free to attend; “an outdoor America 250 celebration,” featuring food trucks from Fitzwater Station and Petrucci’s Ice Cream, live music and other entertainment, face painting, and local community presenters; held at Kimberton Park, 2214 Kimberton Rd., Phoenixville PA
- Washington Township Fall Festival, 1-8 p.m., free to attend; with a bounce house and slide, face painting, potato sack races, and free kids crafts, also features a petting zoo, axe throwing, hay rides, free s’mores treats, and hot chocolate by a bonfire; yard games, pumpkin bowling, and a sidewalk chalk art contest also are planned; held at at Barto Community Park, 120 Barto Rd., Barto PA

Oct. 24 (Saturday)
- Montgomery County’s “All Hallows Eve Fall Festival,” noon to 4 p.m., free admission (family-friendly; a suggested donation of $2 per person is appreciated); enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned fall fun as kids make crafts, paint pumpkins, shuck corn, press apples into cider, play games, complete a scavenger hunt, and take a hayride around the meadow; however, the on-site mansion will be closed for the day; held at the county’s Pennypacker Mills historic site, 5 Haldeman Rd., Schwenksville PA
