KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Drivers in parts of Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, Worcester, and Perkiomen townships, and Pottstown and Skippack boroughs, may be affected by traffic restrictions next week as the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation works on paving and resurfacing projects.
Currently under way, it said Friday (June 9, 2023), are efforts valued at $134 million to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across southeastern Pennsylvania. That work will have effects:
- Sunday (June 11) overnight from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning with a lane closure scheduled on Armand Hammer Boulevard, between Industrial Highway and High Street in Pottstown and Lower Pottsgrove, for milling and paving;
- Sunday through Friday (June 11-16) overnights between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. the following morning with a lane closure scheduled on Route 73, between Route 29 and Green Hill Road in Worcester, Perkiomen and Skippack, for sawing and sealing operations;
- Monday through Wednesday (June 12-14) weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnights from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning with a lane closure scheduled on Armand Hammer Boulevard, between Industrial Highway and High Street in Pottstown and Lower Pottsgrove, for utility adjustments and milling and paving; and
- Monday through Friday (June 12-16) weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and overnights from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with a lane closure scheduled on Linfield Trappe Road, between Lewis Road and Township Line Road in Limerick, for utility adjustments, milling, and paving.
Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT warned, and advised drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather, it added.
PennDOT is milling the existing road surfaces, and repaving the state highways with new asphalt, to seal them and provide a smoother riding surface.
