POTTSTOWN PA – The Hill School ranks slightly above the middle of the pack, 23rd, on a list of enrollments among the 54 largest private schools in the Greater Philadelphia region, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported Thursday (Aug. 27, 2026).

The ranking is based on enrollments for the 2026-2027 school year. The information “could not be independently verified by the Philadelphia Business Journal,” it added.

Journal Data Reporter Todd Romero wrote that information on its list was supplied by representatives of individual schools. They responded to Journal questionnaires.

Business Journal research was also used to compile the list.

According to the list The Hill, at 860 Beech St., provides education for grades 9-12 and post-grad. It told The Journal 539 individuals were enrolled for the year. Its annual tuition was reported to range from $54,980 to $81,040.

Schools at the Top, and Bottom

By comparison, leading the list in the No. 1 position was The Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square PA. It provides education from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Its stated enrollment was 1,308 for the year, with a tuition range from $27,400 to $46,300.

At the bottom of the list, ranked No. 54, was The Center School in Abington PA. This year it is providing education to 72 enrolled individuals in grades 1-8. Its reported tuition ranges from $22,750 to $44,200.

The Journal annually compiles annually compiles several other education-related lists. In 2025 they included:

• The Largest MBA programs in Greater Philadelphia,
• The Largest Business Schools in Greater Philadelphia, and
• The Largest Four-Year Colleges & Universities in Greater Philadelphia.

Brudereck Named Greenways’ Director of Communications

POTTSTOWN PA – Journalist and non-profit communications professional Jason Brudereck has been named as director of communications for the Schuylkill River Greenways (SRG) National Heritage Area, 140 College Dr.

Brudereck will lead communications, media relations, and marketing efforts to increase awareness of SRG’s efforts. The organization promotes stewardship and economic growth along the river, its accompanying trail, and across the regional heritage area.

SRG covers the river watershed within Schuylkill, Berks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.

It also is dedicated to protecting the area’s natural, cultural, historic, and recreational resources, with a focus on connecting all communities to the river and trail.

“Jason is doing more than telling people what we do. He’s giving them reasons to care and ways to get involved,” SRG Executive Director Elaine Paul Schaefer said.

Telling Stories, Reaching Audiences

“Our new Stewardship Trail Challenge is a perfect example,” Schaefer added. “People who already love walking, running, biking, or paddling along the Schuylkill can turn those miles into support for maintaining the trail. Jason’s experience will help us tell stories like that, reach new audiences, and connect more people with the river and trail.”

Previously, Brudereck led public and media relations for dozens of non-profit groups as a communications consultant He held communications roles at Winterthur Museum, Garden & Library, and the Berks County Community Foundation. He began his career as a reporter for the Reading Eagle.

Brudereck lives in Berks County. He volunteers with several non-profits, and serves on the Berks County Public Libraries System Advisory Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University.
