Ciresi Plans June 4 ’Town Hall’ Meeting in Pottstown

Solve Four Problems (One At A Time) at Ciresi Events

ROYERSFORD PA – In the local office of state 146th House District Rep. Joe Ciresi, coming events are being planned to:

  • Help vehicle owners (Sept. 22),
  • Inform prospective home buyers (Oct. 11),
  • Help those needing a flu vaccination (also Oct. 11), and
  • Safely rid area residents of no-longer-needed paperwork (Nov. 14).

License Plate Replacement

Some vehicle owners have license plates that are considered hard to read, due to damage or illegibility. They are invited to apply for a free license plate replacement on Sept. 22 (2026; Tuesday).

The event is being hosted by Ciresi in cooperation with the Lower Pottsgrove Township Police Department. It is scheduled from 4-6 p.m. in Gerald Richards Park, 2150 Buchert Rd., Pottstown PA. It also is free to attend, and open to the public.

Township police officers will be on hand to check participants’ plates. Police will verify if they should be replaced, and offer to assist vehicle owners in completing a necessary form.

A registration plate is deemed illegible, according to Pennsylvania Driver and Vehicle Services, when one or more numbers or letters cannot be recognized from 50 feet away.

Registration plates that show any blistering, peeling, discoloration or loss of reflectivity also may qualify.

Those for whom new plates are granted should receive them within 1-2 weeks, or up to 8 weeks for vanity plates.

Pathways To Property Seminar

To Sell a Home for More Select Photos, Words with Care

A “Pathways to Property” seminar presented by Ciresi, about managing debt and purchasing a home, is on the calendar for Oct. 11 (Sunday) from 1-3 p.m. at The Vibe Café, 249 E. High St., Pottstown PA.

Those who attend will hear from representatives of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. Participants can learn about about programs that help with purchasing a home on a limited budget, and with paying off student loans.

Participants also will be able to meet with local non-profit organizations that offer home-buyer assistance grants and financing. Their guidance may be especially valuable for first-time buyers.

Flu Vaccinations

Also available Oct. 11 during – but separately from – the Pathways seminar will be a mobile vaccine clinic. Representatives of Skippack Pharmacy will be at The Vibe Café, also from 1-3 p.m., to offer and administer flu vaccinations. Those interested in the service should bring their insurance cards.

Paper Shredding

Finally, Ciresi’s office is planning a free paper shredding event in cooperation with Royersford Borough. It will be held Nov. 14 (Saturday) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 251 Second Ave., Royersford. Watch Ciresi’s Facebook page for details.
