Sunday Party Launches Pottstown GoFourth! Season

June 2, 2026

POTTSTOWN PA – The local kick-off of 2026 as a milestone year – the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, and the 10th anniversary of the Pottstown GoFourth! Festival – gets under way Sunday (June 7).

A fund-raising party and basket raffle, free to attend and open to the public, will be held from 1-4 p.m. at Rivet: Canteen & Assembly, located in the New York Plaza building at 238 E. High St. Parking is available at the rear of the building.

The festival itself, now also known by the shorthand reference of “PoGoFo ’26,” is scheduled for July 4 (Saturday) at Pottstown Memorial Park on West King Street.

The Independence Day event will be filled with live entertainment, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors, tethered hot air balloon rides, kids’ activities, community organizations, and a fireworks finale. It, too, will be free and open for all to participate.

Covering Festival Costs

Sunday’s fund-raising effort is among several activities intended to help cover the festival’s costs. The party, organizers say, also will be a “fun, casual gathering that sets the tone for the season ahead.”

“This fundraiser has become one of our favorite traditions leading up to the festival,” says Pottstown GoFourth! Co-Chair Amy Wolf. “It’s a fun afternoon, people get very competitive over the baskets, and it’s a great way for the community to support the event.”

Guests can expect tables packed with “fantastic raffle baskets,” a 50-50 raffle, and “a handful of extra-special premium items.” It also will “debut commemorative merchandise that honors America’s 250th anniversary, inspired by classic red-white-and-blue Americana. Pottstown Rotary Club duck tickets will be available for purchase, and live music will be provided by Stephen Kurtz.

“It’s equal parts celebration, community, and straight-up fun,” organizers add.

In joining the launch of a 10th festival season, participants will be in good company at Sunday’s party. Area residents are encouraged to come as you are, bring a friend, say hello to familiar faces, “and enjoy a straight-up good time” while supporting work that brings the community together.
