Bank Offers Wednesday Home Owning Seminar

May 18, 2026

POTTSTOWN PA – A Wednesday (May 20, 2026) seminar in Pottstown, titled “Pathways to Home Ownership,” will offer local residents bank information on financing and buying a home.

The seminar is scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m. at J.J. Rattigans, 227 E. High St. It is open to the public, free to attend, and is sponsored by Key Bank. Advance reservations are required, and can be made online using the blue “Tickets” button.

Mortgage Loan Officer Tom Scopio reports the session will cover a “wide range of topics.” They include details on:

  • Low down-payment options. Among them are opportunities offered by the Federal Housing Administration, the Veterans Administration, and a Key Community Mortgage;
  • How to qualify for KeyBank’s 0.25% interest rate discount;
  • How the bank’s online application “helps make getting conditionally approved a faster and smoother process;” and
  • A detailed, step-by-step guide on the home-buying process for first-time home buyers.

The bank adds that attending the seminar does not represent “a commitment to lend or extend credit. Conditions and restrictions may apply. All home lending products, including mortgage and home equity lines of credit, are subject to credit and collateral approval.”

“Not all home lending products are available in all states. Hazard insurance and, if applicable, flood insurance is required on collateral property. Actual rates, fees, and terms are based on those offered as of the date of application and are subject to change without notice,” it says.
