May 10, 2026

BETHLEHEM PA – Musician, songwriter, singer, and music educator Jake Hoffman sat inside a café, only yards away from the Levitt Pavilion Steelstacks, knowing the work that faced him.

It was Hoffman’s job to entertain a large, excited crowd. They had turned out to learn which individuals and groups were scheduled for more than 50 free live concerts this summer.

The shows begin this Friday (May 15, 2026), and continue through Sept. 12, on the Levitt stage at the ArtsQuest campus, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem.

At Levitt Stage, 50+ Free Performances Scheduled
A large crowd came out to learn what free performances would be held this year on the Levitt stage … and to hear Hoffman‘s music

Hoffman’s performance, with a selection of 22 pieces, was appreciated and validated by repeated audience applause. He smiled and thanked the crowd, but understood they came primarily to scour the concert list.

That list includes premium and well-known entertainers spanning many styles, some local favorite bands, and even a Shakespeare classic. A handful of shows are part of the Latin Festival, One Earth Reggae Fest, Blast Furnace Blues Festival, and CountryFest, planned by ArtsQuest throughout the season.

All will be presented at the pavilion, which is part of a national network of non-profit concert venues. They exist, in part, due to support from the California-based Levitt Family Foundation.

The foundation is dedicated to providing free and local shows open to the public. Local non-profits like The Friends of Levitt play important roles, too. Their mutual goal: to strengthen the social fabric of communities through the arts.

Free, Come Rain or Shine

At Levitt Stage, 50+ Free Performances Scheduled
The Levitt Pavilion Steelstacks stage awaits its next performer

All Levitt Pavilion Steelstacks shows are free, with first-come, first-served seating available on the lawn in front of the concert stage. The “Discover Lehigh Valley” website highly recommends bringing lawn chairs or blankets for comfort. Concerts are held rain or shine; dress appropriately.

Food and drink is available for purchase on-site. No outside alcohol, glass containers or weapons are allowed. Leashed dogs are permitted in designated areas. Plenty of free parking is available within easy walking distances.

Levitt Pavilion Steelstacks is a 62-mile round-trip to and from Pottstown PA. With gasoline-fueled vehicles averaging 24-27 miles per gallon nationwide, and AAA-estimated gasoline costs in Pennsylvania averaging $4.68 (as of Sunday, May 10), the drive will cost slightly more than $12.

Then again, that’s less expensive than the cost of a single concert ticket elsewhere, and most cars hold four or more people.
