Limerick Hosts One-Day Fun Camp on May 19

Limerick Hosts One-Day Fun Camp on May 19

May 9, 2026

LIMERICK PA – With several area school districts closed for May 19 (2026; Tuesday) for Primary Election Day, Limerick Township is offering a way to “keep kids active and engaged” during their day off. The township Parks and Recreation Department is introducing its “School’s Out Days” program, in partnership with Dolton Sports.

Limerick will offer a one-day School’s Out Camp for children age 6-12 (grades 1-6), operated by Dolton for a $65 per-child fee, on May 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Limerick Community Park. Registration for the camp is now available online.

The department says the one-day event is “packed with fun, safe, and supervised activities.” From sports and games to crafts, trivia, and more, “there’s something for every child to enjoy. Whether they’re looking to burn off energy or get creative, Dolton Sports has them covered on their day off!,” it adds.

Enrollment for the day-off program began during February, and will close by May 15 (Friday) at noon, according to the department. Receipts will be issued. Dolton advises receipts should be retained for potential tax purposes.

Registered participants will be sent an e-mail a week before the start of the camp. It will contain more specific information about what each camper will need to bring. It also will include arrival and pick-up details.

Registrations may be canceled at least 14 days before the start of the camp. Refunds will be issued to those who qualify, but a 10% administrative fee will be charged for each canceled participant.

Dolton also is responsible for operating multi-sports programs for children ages 3-5 in Limerick on Wednesday evenings. Additionally, it has scheduled a one-day camp in Upper Moreland, and held one earlier in Warwick.

The Dolton Sports website reports the company’s camp director is Zach Dolton. He is a graduate of Phil-Mont Christian Academy, and has as its junior varsity boys basketball coach for the past five years.
