POTTSTOWN PA – A “masters of art” presentation, scheduled during April (2026) by the Pottstown Area Artists’ Guild, will explore stories of color and pigments.
Berks County artist Barbara Post is a popular speaker among area groups on a variety of themes involving artwork, paintings, and sculpture. Her April 20 talk to the guild – from 7-9 p.m. in the Boyer Gallery at The Hill School Center for the Arts, 766 Beech St. – will relate stories of color and pigments from nature, plants, and animals.
Advance reservations are requested, and can be made online.
Post’s research consists of “some of the most entertaining and mysterious tales of being human,” the guild reports. Advance reservations are requested, and can be made online.
In an earlier (March 16) talk at the gallery, Shillington resident and life-long artist Robert Seabourne discussed “The Process of Creativity.” Art, he says, “is a journey, a process, not the final or end product.” Seabourne’s talk covered his way of working, an exploration of art and artists, and the act of creating.
The guild’s free and open-to-the-public talks feature recognized artists and experts who discuss various art-related topics and mediums. They occasionally also include demonstrations. Events are typically held on third Mondays of spring and fall months in the gallery.
The guild was formed by seven area artists during 1960, with goals to allow people to “express themselves collectively,” encourage regional art sales, and to promote art appreciation and education.
