New Topgolf Facility to Open June 19 in King of Prussia

New Topgolf Facility to Open June 19 in King of Prussia

June 13, 2023

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Topgolf, which features both on- and off-course play in what it calls “modern golf entertainment,” plans to officially open its new 588 N. Gulph Rd., King of Prussia, location on June 19 (2023; Monday).

Its California-based corporate owner, Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp., describes the venue as “a modern golf experience where anyone, including people who have never picked up a golf club,” can enjoy the sport and associated tech-driven games “in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.”

“We want to bring more play to the world, and are thrilled that King of Prussia is our next place to be able to do that,” Topgolf Chief Operating Officer Gen Gray said.

The King of Prussia facility includes three levels containing 102 outdoor, climate-controlled hitting bays. “Each bay has lounge-type furniture or high-top tables” where groups can react with and to other players, it said. The company’s Toptracer technology tracks and reports on each golf ball’s flight path, distance and other metrics.

Players can also participate in lessons under Topgolf’s coach program, led by its director of instruction.

Additionally, Topgolf offers “a full-service restaurant manned by executive chefs, a 28-foot video wall, more than 200 high-definition televisions, music, and year-round family-friendly programming.” Private event rooms and an outdoor area with backyard games also are available for team outings, family gatherings, meetings, and celebrations.

Hourly prices for game play are based on participants’ choices of day and time. Game-play pricing is half-off on Tuesdays, it noted.

The installation represents Topgolf’s third site in Pennsylvania, it said; others opened earlier in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. The King of Prussia facility – situated near the King of Prussia shopping mall, King of Prussia Town Center, and the Village at Valley Forge – is expected to employ about 400 people.
