READING PA – A new hotel, The SureStay Plus by Best Western Reading North, has opened at 2200 Stacey Dr. following a more than $400,000 owner investment to renovate its facilities, Best Western representatives reported. Vijay Joshi is its general manager.
The property features 60 guest rooms with updated bathrooms, 55-inch flat-screen high-definition televisions, in-room office space, microwave ovens and mini-refrigerators. It also equipped with three handicapped-accessible rooms and two king rooms with large, jetted soaker tubs.
Additionally, it offers an outdoor picnic and seating area, complimentary coffee and lemon-infused water around the clock, a 24-hour fitness facility, a complimentary hot breakfast buffet each morning and wireless internet service.
The property’s location is “just a short drive,” management said, from FirstEnergy Stadium, Santander Arena, Santander Performing Arts Center, the Pagoda, Reverb Nightclub, the Outer Station of the Reading and Northern Railroad, Maple Grove Raceway and several historical sites and museums, the company said.
Also nearby are Albright College, Alvernia University, Kutztown University, Penn State and Berks Reading Area Community College, as well as Reading Hospital and Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.
