Foodie: Revived Spring City Restaurant Re-Opens Sunday; Beekeeper's Cafe Sets Winter Hours

Foodie: Spring City Hotel Restaurant Re-Opens Sunday; Beekeeper’s Café Sets Winter Hours

October 17, 2026

In this edition of Pottstown Foodie: After a two-year hiatus the Spring City Hotel Restaurant, 88 N. Main St., Spring City, is scheduled to re-open Sunday. In Pottstown, The Beekeeper’s Cafe, 206 N. Charlotte St., announced its winter hours.

Spring City Hotel Restaurant Grand Opening Set for Sunday

SPRING CITY PA – The revived Spring City Hotel Restaurant, 88 N. Main St., will officially re-open Sunday (Oct. 18, 2026) at 3 p.m., according to its Facebook page.

The return of business at the property represents a milestone of sorts. A story published Monday (Oct. 12) in the Spring-Ford Press reports the building’s owners, Bill and Debbie Hoffman, operated there for more than 40 years. They retired in December 2024.

The new management, which was not identified, is said to have spent considerable time and resources to restore its operations.

Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Tim Diable, a 2016 graduate of L’Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg MD. Diable’s opening menu offers a variety of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and home-style favorites.

Debbie Hoffman also is honored on the menu, with the return of her Chicken Kiev dish. It’s a chicken breast “filled with garlic, butter, and herbs, (and) faithfully prepared by way of Debbie’s original recipe.”

Sides and Desserts As Well

Available as well are a variety of sides french fries, coleslaw, southern slaw, asparagus, mashed potatoes, baked potato, and broccoli.

Want something sweet to end the meal? Look for the restaurant’s Lemon Italian Cake, Vanilla or Chocolate Ice Cream, Cinnamon Roll Churros, Apple Pie, Apple Pie à la Mode, and Dulce de Leche Cake.

Be advised the restaurant reports that it is “still working with the state” to finalize its liquor license. Until then, it will operate as a BYOB.

The restaurant says its current hours are Thursdays through Mondays from 3-9 p.m., but likely will be modified once the liquor license is approved and delivered. It will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

“We are incredibly excited to open our doors and begin serving the Spring City community again,” its managers proclaimed. “Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout this journey! Join us Sunday … and come hungry!”

Winter’s Approach Brings New Hours to Beekeeper’s Café

POTTSTOWN PA – The change of seasons has prompted new winter hours at The Beekeeper’s Café, 206 N. Charlotte St., it announced Wednesday (Oct. 14) on Instagram. “We are chopping off one hour at the end of our weekdays for the darker months … effective immediately,” it reports.

The café will now be open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. As usual, The Beekeeper’s offerings include freshly roasted farm-direct coffees, a wide variety of teas, locally made treats, and Pennsylvania honey.

For those looking for a cup of good coffee or tea “later in the day,” the café recommends Thrive Pottstown on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
