BLUE BELL PA – “The Second City” – Chicago’s improvisational and stand-up comedy training ground for stars like Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Keegan-Michael Key, and Tim Robinson – will perform a new show titled “Laughing for All the Wrong Reasons” on Saturday (Oct. 10, 2026) at Montgomery County Community College (MCCC).
The performance starts at 7 p.m. at the Montco Cultural Center Theater inside the college Science Center, 1313 Morris Rd. Its doors open at 6:30 p.m.
As of Wednesday (Oct. 7), tickets for the one-night-only show remained available for purchase online at MCCC’s Culture Events webpage. Parking is free.
“Laughing For All the Wrong Reasons” features “a hilarious array” of classic sketch comedy and songs from the company’s rich history. It also is expected to offer “fresh new favorites, as well as the signature brand of irreverent improv that The Second City is famous for.”
The production also represents a celebration, as The Second City observes its 67th anniversary this year.
The “innovative and interactive performance,” the college explains, “is brought to life by the dynamic Second City Touring Company.” Its cast members perform scenes with several actors holding microphones on stage. Anticipated to be among them is Emily Anderson, originally from Downingtown PA.

‘Artrageous’ Coming Oct. 16 to MCCC
Artrageous, “a visual concert” that fuses mesmerizing music by original recording artists with multi-sensory and dynamic live art curated by award-winning artists and composers, is scheduled for Oct. 16 (Friday) at 7 p.m.
It will be held at the Montco Cultural Center Theater inside the college Science Center, 1313 Morris Rd. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets for the performance are available for purchase online.
Reviewers call the show “a one-of-a-kind family experience.” It brings “the excitement of a team of exceptional artists painting at electric speed, creating giant works of art, right before your very eyes.”
The combined experience is said to create an immersive journey. It is intended “to create lasting memories, and a sense of purpose and joy, while stimulating (the) mind and senses.”
