POTTSTOWN PA – Beautiful butterflies, fresh produce, tasty small batch foods, and locally created crafts all will make Saturday (Sept. 5, 2026) special at Pottstown FARM.
The borough’s Farm and Artisan Regional Market will be operating from 9 a.m. to noon in Smith Family Plaza, downtown at 100 E. High St. Organizers encourage visitors to learn about tagging butterflies there.
FARM also will entertain visiting guests from far and wide who are spending the weekend at the nearby L’oe Show auto exhibit.
Come See the Butterflies
Butterfly expert Lois Vedock and author Ron Richael are likely to be surrounded by adults and kids who can get up and personal with Vedock’s colorful flying friends.
The pair will talk with FARM visitors about the butterflies’ annual journeys. Also, they will explain butterfly tagging and its importance.
The butterflies will be released to the wild at 11:30 a.m. Bring a camera to take photos at the start of their lengthy travels.
Richael will be available to discuss and sign copies of his book, “Pottstown Butterflies.” It describes, and includes many photos of, his backyard visitors of 30 years.
Pottstown Community Arts will visit FARM too, bringing a special craft to entertain kids while their parents shop.
