POTTSTOWN PA – Three Pottstown area restaurants are among 73 statewide that have been selected by the Pennsylvania Beef Council to be part of its inaugural “Pennsylvania Beef Trail,” the organization said Tuesday (June 16, 2026).
The council says its highlighted restaurants serve “stand-out beef dishes nominated by consumers.” It identifies each by name, location, beef specialty dish, and website.
Chosen within the greater Pottstown area are Gazzo’s Steaks in Pottstown, and its Sanatoga Steak Sandwich; Ye Old Coventry Pub in Pottstown, and its Roast Beef Sandwich; and Our Place Restaurant in Gilbertsville, and its “Our Place Special.” All three, and the remaining 70 others, appear on an interactive online map that lets hungry travelers pick new beef specialty spots to explore.
In proximity to the local choices, but at a greater distance are eight other choices:
- In Berks County, Louie’s Kitchen and Bar in Shillington, and its Caramel Burger; State Hill Craft Cocktails and Kitchen in Wyomissing, and its State Hill Smash Burger; The Heritage Restaurant in Morgantown, and its Prime Ribeye; Copperz in Hamburg, and its Farmhaus Burger; Deitsch Eck in Lenhartsville, and its The Luther; Saucony Creek Brewing Company in Kutztown, and its Gauker Farms Hot Dogs; and Snuzzles in Mertztown, and its Cheesesteak Stromboli; and
- In Chester County, Nomadic Pies in Kennett Square, and its Steak, Mushroom, and Guyere Pie.
All chosen restaurants are separated into four Pennsylvania regions – Southeast, Northeast, Central, and West – to make them easier to find.

Introduced With Fanfare
The Beef Trail was introduced with fanfare, and a menu tastings session, late last month in Berks County. In attendance were state Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, local restaurant partners, beef producers, and area residents.
All sought to “to celebrate Pennsylvania beef, local food businesses, and the culinary creativity found across the Commonwealth,” the council reports. It observed May as Beef Month.
“The PA Beef Trail gives consumers a fun, interactive way to explore that story while discovering restaurants and dishes they may not have tried before,” council Director of Consumer Affairs Kylie Lusk adds. “We’re excited to see people use the trail throughout the year to support local restaurants and celebrate beef across the Commonwealth.”

Our reporting on local dining covers activities and events of restaurants, and food or beverage suppliers, within Montgomery, Berks, and Chester PA counties. Find more articles here. Also, see or follow “Pottstown Foodie” on Facebook.
