AUSTIN TX – A just-released list of “2026 Vacation Rentals of the Year” from Vrbo, a vacation rental home company, includes descriptions and photos of 15 different properties across the U.S. that “have left a strong and lasting impression” on its guests.
Several of them, it adds, have earned more than 100 perfect 10-out-of-10 guest ratings. But none of the hundreds of properties it offers for rent in Pennsylvania – some of which the company markets as “exceptional” – made this year’s “standout” line-up.
The winning 15, the subject of an April 21 media release, were located in Montana, Colorado, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Alabama, Hawaii, Missouri, California, Utah, Ohio, New York, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts.
Booking prices range from $425 to $3,400 per night, the list shows.
To qualify for the list, properties must meet criteria the company says may include:
- Being “loved by guests” in at least 15 exceptional ratings and verified reviews;
- Management by “premier hosts” with a track record of reliability and hospitality;
- Locations in “popular leisure destinations, often steps from the ocean, lakes, or mountains;”
- Spacious facilities with attractive amenities; or
- Providing a “wow factor” of “unique amenities or architectural features.” This year’s list, for example, spotlights a geodesic dome and a converted historic firehouse.
The list is in its fifth year of publication. It is intended to “showcase the finest vacation rentals on Vrbo,” according to company Senior Vice President and General Manager Larry Plawsky.
