POTTSTOWN PA – “Kelsey’s Klubhouse,” envisioned as a “welcoming space in Pottstown for youth to learn, lead, and play,” is scheduled to open during June (2026). The facility is the result of a partnership between the YWCA Tri-County Area, and a foundation that honors a 16-year-old honor student who died in a 2011 automobile accident.
The “Klubhouse” pays tribute to Kelsey Kramer, who at the time was a junior at Owen J. Roberts High School. The memorial, being launched by the YWCA and the Kelsey’s Legacy Forever Strong Foundation, will offer “a variety of educational, enrichment, and leadership activities,” the YWCA reports.
It will be located inside the YW’s Pottstown Integrated Wellness Complex on North Adams Street. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for June 6 (Saturday).
The daughter of William and Lori Kramer, Kelsey was active in her school and the community. She played varsity soccer, and believed in a well-rounded life. Her family says she lived by what she called “the three S’s”: school, sports, and social.
Kelsey’s parents established the foundation in her honor to support initiatives that help young people grow in confidence, leadership, and community connection. Kelsey embraced those values in her own life. She also “believed deeply in supporting others, making them feel special, making the most of every moment, and encouraging others to do the same,” her mother, Lori Kramer, adds.

Supported, Inspired, Empowered
In the partnership with the YW, the Kramers say they “hope Kelsey’s Klubhouse will be a place where young people feel supported, inspired, empowered, encouraged to grow, build confidence, and discover their potential. Creating opportunities for youth in our community is the most meaningful way we can honor Kelsey’s legacy.”
The partnership includes a five-year commitment from the foundation to support the YW’s Youth Education and Prevention Programs. Its investment will fund improvements to dedicated youth program spaces at the complex, and provide ongoing support for initiatives that promote education, leadership development, college and career exploration, and wellness for local youth.
Also as part of the partnership, the foundation will support the return of YW’s “All.Girl! Leadership & Wellness Conference,” also on June 6. The one-day program for girls in grades 3-8 offers workshops and hands-on learning experiences for leadership development, wellness, and self-expression.
The ribbon-cutting celebration will feature a special showcase from All.Girl! participants, including the YW “All.Girl! Live Wax Museum.” it is described as “an interactive fund-raiser that encourages participants to envision themselves 10 years into the future.”
The partnership also establishes Kelsey’s Klubhouse Advisory Board, composed of youth participants and community members. The board is anticipated to help guide programming, and ensure the space reflects the needs and voices of young people.
A Meaningful Investment
“We are so grateful to the Kramer family for investing in YWCA youth spaces as well as bolstering some of our specific programs,” said Heather Coutts, director of YW’s Youth Education and Prevention Programs.
“This partnership represents a meaningful investment in the health and future of our entire community,” Coutts says. “We are honored to work with Kelsey’s Legacy Forever Strong Foundation to create a youth-focused space and programming that centers the needs and voices of the youth we serve. This long-lasting partnership will ensure these vital programs will thrive for years to come.”
Kelsey’s Legacy Forever Strong Foundation is a registered 501(c) 3 charitable organization with a mission to honor the life of Kelsey Kramer by making a positive difference in the lives of youth.
