New Blood (Literally) Coming to Pottstown’s Anno Artem

New Blood (Literally) Coming to Pottstown’s Anno Artem

February 8, 2026

POTTSTOWN PA – For the newest show of artwork scheduled for exhibition March 5-29 (2026) at the Anno Artem Gallery, 1 Security Plz. Ste. 202, put greatest emphasis on the word “new.”

If you’re an artist whose work has never been displayed at Anno Artem – in short, if you are new to the gallery – then you’re qualified to submit works for possible inclusion in its coming exhibit. Its apt title: “New Blood.”

In Anno Artem’s first year, gallery owners Anthony Nowak and Danielle Kangas explain, “we showed over 60 artists. But we still had artists come to us and say they wanted to submit, but they didn’t have work that fit our themes. That won’t be the case with this one.”

The gallery’s mission, they add, “has always been to showcase art that elicits strong emotions from viewers, to create human connection through art.” The mission “will still guide the selections we make to fill the show.” Artists should keep that goal in mind when choosing their submissions, the owners suggest.

Some Submission Guidelines

  • All mediums and styles will be considered. However, Anno Artem is “a contemporary/avant-garde gallery,” so submissions will be judged “through that lens;”
  • No size restrictions apply “as long as the artist can deliver the work;”
  • All physical work must be offered for sale;
  • 3D (three-dimensional), performance-based, and digital works are also accepted for consideration, and encouraged. If performance-based works are accepted for exhibition, the gallery will work with the artist to create an opportunity to compensate for the performance;
  • Up to three works are allowed per submission;
  • A $30 submission fee will be charged;
  • Submitters must sign an artist agreement, which in part requires all accepted works to be exhibition-ready.

The deadline to apply for submissions is Feb. 18. Submitters who are accepted for the show will be notified Feb. 22. Art must be dropped off to the gallery between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Feb. 26 (Thursday) through March 1 (Sunday). Got questions? Get them answered by sending an e-mail to the gallery at submissions@annoartem.com.
