Kangas Named as New Pottstown ‘Main Street Manager’

January 29, 2026

POTTSTOWN PA – The borough’s Business Improvement District Management Association, in a Wednesday (Jan. 28, 2026) media release, named Danielle Kangas as its new Main Street Manager.

Kangas will be responsible for leading efforts that align with Pennsylvania’s Main Street Matters Program. It supports communities in planning for revitalization, aesthetic improvements, and increased safety and security. The program focuses on sustained growth through strategic partnerships.

She also will work with Pottstown Area Economic Development Inc. (PAED), the agency that oversees association operations, on its marketing efforts. It hopes “to ensure complimentary messaging on economic revitalization efforts throughout the borough, PAED says. It issued the release on the association’s behalf.

“This is not just about managing a district,” PAED Executive Director Peggy Lee-Clark reports. “It’s about bringing together business and community. Danielle’s unique blend of experience offers exactly what is needed to foster an environment where local businesses can thrive” amid change.

Kangas’ leadership, Lee-Clark adds, “is paramount in drawing more foot traffic from external audiences, while staying true to the community’s roots.”

The association was authorized in June 2025 by borough council to provide specialized attention on Pottstown’s downtown. Its goals are to decrease vacancies, improve the quality of life for residents, stabilize businesses, and increase property values. For more information, send an e-mail to info@paedinc.org.

Background in Entrepreneurship, Technology

With what it called a “robust background in both entrepreneurship and technology, Kangas is poised to lead initiatives aimed at the continuation of revitalizing Pottstown’s downtown corridor,” according to PAED.

Kangas co-founded Anno Artem Art Gallery, located in downtown at 1 Security Plz. Ste. 202, with her husband during 2024, “displaying their commitment to supporting local artists.”

Her diverse professional roles include within the information technology sector, with “experiences that have equipped her with invaluable skills for navigating complex environments,” PAED says. She serves as a volunteer on the Art Fusion board of directors.
