BETHLEHEM PA – Student musicians from The Hill School in Pottstown and Spring-Ford Area High School in Royersford are scheduled to compete Feb. 22 (2026; Sunday) in the 14th annual SteelStacks High School Jazz Band Showcase.
They are among 26 bands from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, participating in five showcase events to be held during February and March. The competition is a music-in-education program of non-profit ArtsQuest, headquartered in Bethlehem, and the jazz studies program at Moravian University.
Live audiences can enjoy performances from the scholastic groups, which also will perform in front of a judging panel comprised of music educators.
Students at The Hill School will take to the stage during performances set for Feb. 22 at noon in the Musikfest Café on the SteelStacks entertainment campus, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Spring-Ford performers are among those slotted for Feb. 22 at 4 p.m., according to ArtsQuest.

Finals Performances on March 29
Bands who succeed in the Feb. 22 and March 8 preliminary rounds will move on to a finals competition scheduled for March 29. Service Electric, an ArtsQuest broadcast partner, will be on-site to record the preliminary performances for viewing at a later date.
ArtsQuest began in 1984 as began as a community effort to attract visitors and revitalize the city’s economy after Bethlehem Steel closed. It provides artistic, cultural and educational experiences to drive economic development in its surrounding communities. Its flagship event is Musikfest, a popular and well-attended series of summer concerts.
