POTTSTOWN PA – Six decades of progress in Pottstown will be observed Thursday (Nov. 13, 2025), as Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED) celebrates its 60th anniversary with a special luncheon at Brookside Country Club.
Founded in 1965 as Pottstown Area Industrial Development Inc., and now known as PAED, the organization serves as the lead development entity to promote the borough’s commercial and industrial growth.
The luncheon features Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger as a featured speaker, and “recognizes PAED’s work in bringing this post-industrial borough into the 21st century,” the organization says.
“PAED is grateful to (the department) for its role in Pottstown’s progress over the years,” PAED Executive Director Peggy Lee-Clark notes, and “we are honored to have Secretary Siger join us as part of our celebration.”
Providing Services for Pottstown’s Future
PAED provides services to businesses and organizations seeking to invest, expand or relocate. They include assistance with site selection, commercial and industrial real estate development, and access to development resources.
Through its efforts, PAED says it has stimulated investment, restored under-utilized buildings, helped maintain and enhance the tax base, and retain and create job opportunities.
Governed by a board of directors, PAED also participates with key stakeholders in the public and private sectors. As an independent non-government organization PAED reports it has been, and remains, the “go-to” organization for the development community. Its focus, it adds, is “a commitment to a relevant economic development strategy.”

Honoring Business Community Members
The celebration will recognize businesses and individuals who have contributed to the success of Pottstown:
- DANA Inc., which has operated in Pottstown as a major employer for more than 100 years will receive the PAED Legacy Award;
- Amy Wolf and Amy Frances, who have selflessly led the efforts of Pottstown’s Go Fourth festival, will receive its Connector Award;
