POTTTSTOWN PA – “The Moors,” a dark comedy written by acclaimed playwright and author Jen Silverman, will be presented Thursday through Sunday (Nov. 6-9, 2025) by Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) students on the second floor of North Hall at the college’s Pottstown campus, 16 E. High St. Tickets are available now online.
Directed by Jessica DalCanton, MCCC assistant professor of theatre, the performance “promises an engaging blend of wit and intrigue,” the college reports. The fall production is jointly offered by the college Theatre Arts Program and its West End Student Theatre group.
Set on the remote English countryside, “The Moors” follows two sisters and their dog as they navigate isolation, longing, and ambition. When a naïve governess and a moorhen arrive unexpectedly, the household spirals into a humorous tale of love, desperation, and visibility.
Performances, in North Hall 228, will be held:
- Thursday (Nov. 6) at 7 p.m.;
- Friday (Nov. 7) at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.;
- Saturday (Nov. 8) at 7 p.m.; and
- Sunday (Nov. 9) at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be ordered online and cost $15 for general admission, and $10 for students. This play features mature content and language and is best suited for viewers 16 years and older. Free, convenient parking is available in MCCC’s South Hall parking lot, 101 College Dr.
