Upper Perkiomen Valley residents have always enjoyed celebrating the holidays. A new exhibit at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center shows how. Also, early morning parking Oct. 30 in downtown Pottstown may be limited.
Holiday Decorations Galore, from the Schwenkfelder Collections
PENNSBURG PA – A new exhibit opened at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center explores decorations and other items related to Halloween, Christmas, and Easter. “Holidaze,” as the exhibit is titled, is perfectly timed to coincide with the spookiest of holidays, organizers say.
The exhibit shows off displays made items “from the Heritage Center’s terrific collection of antique and vintage holiday-related objects,” they add. The exhibit runs through April 5 (2026) and is located within the center at 105 Seminary St., Pennsburg.
“Visitors have a chance to see the fledgling Collegeville Costume collection (at top), delicate and beautiful antique blown glass Christmas ornaments, an egg-cellent scratch egg collection for Easter,” and other objects.
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center serves as the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley. Exhibits are available for viewing Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m. Admission is free.
