Secure Ballot Drop Off Locations Set; Lower Frederick Polling Places Change

Secure Ballot Drop Off Locations Set; Lower Frederick Polling Places Change

October 4, 2025

NORRISTOWN PA – Secure drop off boxes for public deposits of mail-in ballots will be available beginning Oct. 17 (Friday) in Pottstown, Royersford, and 16 other locations for the 2025 municipal election, the Montgomery County Office of Voter Services reports.

Additionally, the office says polling places in Lower Frederick Township have been changed for its residents’ voting in the election, scheduled Nov. 4 (Tuesday).

Secure Ballot Drop-Box Locations Set

Four area locations are among 18 sites identified by the Office of Voter Services for placement of secure drop boxes for mail-in ballot deposits. All will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, starting Oct. 17 at noon. The deadline for the receipt of mail-in ballots is Nov. 4 by 8 p.m.

Local drop box locations will be found in:

  • Pottstown, at the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, 364 King St., (between North Evans and North Franklin streets);
  • Royersford, in the parking lot across from Victory Park, 2nd and Arch streets (near the electric vehicle charging stations);
  • Skippack, at the Montgomery County 4H Center, 1015 Bridge Rd., Collegeville PA. To maintain traffic flow through the complex, users are asked to park in the lot adjacent to the drop box, then proceed to the drop box itself to deposit their ballots; and
  • Upper Frederick, at the Green Lane Park Office, 2144 Snyder Rd., Green Lane PA.

Drop box locations also will be established, according to Voter Services, in Norristown (2), Lansdale (2), Abington, Cheltenham, Franconia, Lower Merion (2), Upper Dublin (2), Upper Merion, Upper Moreland, and Whitemarsh.

Lower Frederick Polling Places Change

Lower Frederick is one of five municipalities affected by polling location changes approved for the November election. They were made during a Sept. 25 meeting by the county Board of Elections.

Voters in Lower Frederick Precinct 1 during earlier years cast their ballots at the township Fire Company building, 137 Spring Mount Rd., Spring Mount PA. Those in Precinct 2 formerly cast ballots at the municipal building, 53 Spring Mount Rd., Zieglerville PA.

For the coming election, voters in both precincts must travel instead to Perkiomen Valley Middle School West, 220 Big RD., Zieglerville.

An election board plan to consolidate the two former sites into one polling location reportedly was learned only after announcements were posted on the doors of the two buildings. Township representatives say they were not notified in advance of the coming moves, which took effect immediately with the board action.

Other municipalities in which some polling places were changed include Montgomery, Upper Dublin, Cheltenham, and Horsham.

Any county voters who are unsure of their polling places are advised to check online, the county adds.
