Sellersville Theater Offering Plenty of Live Music Choices

SELLERSVILLE PA – Musical choices on the calendar during February and March at The Sellersville Theater will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. The theater’s latest weekly notices offer upcoming shows that showcase acoustic; funk, rock, and jazz; bossa nova; and tributes to Motown staples, Brazilian composer Sergio Mendes and his Brasil 66, and Heart.

Ahead at the Theater

Recently announced shows at the theater, 24 W. Temple Ave., include:

Josh Ritter Special Trio Show, with Mark Erelli and Zachariah Hickman, welcomed by WXPN. Their acoustic trio performance is scheduled for March 10 (Monday; 2025) at 8 p.m. Tickets went on public sale Friday (Jan. 10) at 10 a.m. Singer, songwriter, musician, artist, and author Ritter will be joined by Erelli and Hickman. Ritter’s works have been praised by NPR Music, The New York Times, and author Stephen King.

TR3, featuring Tim Reynolds. Its performance is scheduled for March 9 (Sunday) at 8 p.m., and tickets go went sale Monday (Jan. 13) at 10 a.m. Dave Matthews collaborator Reynolds and his electric power trio TR3 are known for their fusion of funk, rock and jazz. Their latest album, “Watch It,” is considered “their most perceptive, harmonious and imaginative to date, defying classification,” the theater says.

The Magic of Motown. The performance is scheduled for Feb. 9 (Sunday) at 2 p.m., with tickets available now. The show represents a high-energy tribute to Motown Records and its artists, who helped define the sound of the ’60s and ’70s. Hear favorite Motown hits by Diana Ross & The Supremes, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, and others.

Minas Quintet Tribute to Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66. Its performance is scheduled for Feb. 19 (Wednesday) at 8 p.m., with tickets available now. Philadelphia-based quintet Minas is lauded for its “unique sound, artistry, and warmth.” It pays tribute to Mendes, a Brazilian musician, pianist, and composer; and his band Brasil ’66, which brought bossa nova to a global audience.

Bad Animals – The Heart Tribute. Its performance is scheduled for Feb. 28 (Friday) at 8 p.m., with tickets available now. Vocalists Daena D and Gina D “capture the essence of Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart,” the theater reports, and adds their show “is as close as you can get to the real thing.” Bad Animals performs favorite Heart songs from its ’70s classic rock hits to ’80s and ’90s chart-toppers.

The Sellersville Theater is located 25 miles northeast of Pottstown. It describes itself as “an intimate live music and comedy venue with 325 seats, featuring national and international performers … It boasts an impressive live schedule of five or more shows per week.” It also is available to rent for weddings, presentations, meetings, and special events.

Daily Voice Pottstown. Covers municipalities in western Montgomery County and beyond.

MyChesCo. MyChesCo has covered Chester County news since 2017.

Berks Community Television. Covers Berks County.

Spotlight PA. An investigative news service for Pennsylvania, supported by several news organizations statewide. It is starting a Berks County Edition.
