POTTSTOWN PA – Paying attention paid off this week for students at Pottstown’s Lincoln Elementary School on North York Street.
Those learners were collectively rewarded Friday (April 5, 2024) with a school-wide science assembly for successfully following Lincoln’s merit rules.
They gathered at 1:30 p.m. for an hour-long presentation by Claire Drake of Talewise. The New Jersey-based company specializes in story-telling that shows how all forms of learning, but particularly those involving science, can be fun.
Kids from the audience joined Drake for a variety of experiments that teachers described as “positive, interactive, and exciting.” They apparently were surprising, too, by the looks on the students faces as they witnessed results Drake demonstrated as she talked.
Pottstown School District Director of Community Relations John Armato reported Lincoln’s assembly explored “new ways to achieve academic success” while also “helping to build a culture of good citizenship.”
