UPPER FREDERICK TOWNSHIP PA – PECO Energy is scheduled to begin utility construction Wednesday (Jan. 17, 2024) on Route 29 in Upper Frederick Township, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
Specifics of the project were not announced, but the work will continue through mid-February and weekday traffic restrictions are anticipated.
A 22-weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled from Wednesday through Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the state highway between Deep Creek and Upper Ridge roads. The agency added PECO would complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work area. PennDOT expects backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
