If you’re looking for good music, in a variety of styles, presented in some of the most well-kept and scenic parks within southeastern Pennsylvania, you won’t need to look farther than 2024 summer concerts presented by counties, boroughs, and townships across the area.
Travels With The Post is compiling a list of the concerts as municipal information becomes available. Most are free to attend, although some may be limited to residents of the host municipality.
The roster is anticipated to be lengthy, and will be updated regularly. Readers will be notified as more concerts are added.
For openers, find below the concert series announced in Collegeville and Limerick; by Montgomery County in Green Lane; and in Upper Salford, Schwenksville, Lower Frederick, and Lower Pottsgrove.
Two (so far) in Collegeville, starting May 16
COLLEGEVILLE PA – Two concert dates are entered so far on the Collegeville calendar, but others may be added to the schedule. They’re planned for the borough’s Community Park, located on Park Avenue between Third and Fourth Avenues.
Listed to appear are:
- May 16, Bigg Romeo (dance party), from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with a May 23 rain date; and
- June 6, Elastic Karma (Beatles tribute, classic rock), from 7-9 p.m.
The borough encourages visitors to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for seating, or if it suits you “just sit on the ball field bleachers.” Generally, food trucks are available with products for purchase, and the park offers a playground for the kids.
Listeners also have a chance at the concerts to do good for someone else. Donations of non-perishable items will be accepted at the park for distribution by the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry.
On the pantry’s list of most needed items are laundry and dish soap, deodorants, baby wash and ointment, razors and shaving creams for men and women, paper towels and tissues, cleaning products, juice, soups, canned meats, Hamburger Helper, noodle and rice kits, oatmeal and cereal, baked beans, and peas.
Four in Limerick, starting May 23
LIMERICK PA – In good news for music lovers, the Limerick Township Parks and Recreation Department on its Facebook page said it will offer four shows in its coming series of summer concerts in Limerick Community Park, 180 Swamp Pike.

The county will present five acts, three of which provide tributes to current stars, on Sundays between June 2 and Aug. 8 from 6-8 p.m. All performances are free, suitable for all ages, and open to the public, it added.
In its line-up are:

Three in Upper Salford, starting June 6

On the calendar are:
- June 6, The Left Edge Band (classic rock);
- July 11, The Mighty Manatees (reggae rock); and

The park is for public enjoyment, so the township reminds visitors to follow its online park rules and regulations.
Three in Schwenksville, starting June 19
SCHWENKSVILLE PA – Schwenksville launches the 2024 edition of its annual “Music in the Meadow” concert series with three performances on Wednesdays between June 19 and Aug. 21. The borough describes it as “an action packed summer” that, it warns, will “rock your socks off.”
All shows are in its Meadow Park, 300 Main St., comfortably located between the Perkiomen Trail and Perkiomen Creek and ensuring “plenty of open air space.” Visitors will need to bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
On the schedule are:

The concerts are free, and family- and pet-friendly, it said. Food is available for purchase, too, thanks to Boy Scouts of America Troop 105 of Schwenksville. Bring your appetite, the borough suggests.

Township residents, friends, and occasional visitors are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic dinners, leashed and well-behaved pets, and a frisbee or ball to create a night-time adventure for themselves, the Lower Frederick Parks and Recreation Board said.
