Weekend Stuff Oct. 26-29: A Past Travels Calendar

POTTSTOWN PA – No one ever considers 13 a lucky number, but the slate of coming weekend (Thursday through Sunday, Oct. 26-29, 2023) events might change your mind.

With spookiest of all holidays just days away, the Travels “Weekend Stuff to Do” Calendar features 13 separate Halloween-themed events. They include outdoor community trunk or treat parties, indoor trick or treat events, night hikes, night golf, a night wine walk, the theater return of the eerily humorous Addams Family, and a costumed adult skate party.

There’s no excuse to avoid having fun with your family and friends. The weekend offers more than 40 different opportunities to get out and do something!

Some weekend events are free. Some have fees (labeled as “ticketed”). Some have limitations, registrations, or other conditions. Some may be affected by weather conditions (hint: if unsure, call before you go). Each weekend listing includes a link for more information.

Veterans Bring 'Wall That Heals' Exhibit to Anderson Park

  • Drug Take-Back Day in Montgomery County PA, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., participate for free, rid your household of unwanted prescription and over-the-counter medications that could endanger the health of others, sponsored by the county District Attorney’s Office and the county Police Chiefs Association, at more than 30 locations, many of them local police stations
  • 2nd anniversary of the Gen. Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with cake and $5 off ticketed admission, at the museum, 10 Gen. Spaatz Ave., Boyertown PA
  • Fall Foliage Festival in Jim Thorpe, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., downtown Jim Thorpe PA (59 miles from Pottstown)
  • Trunk or Treat, noon to 3 p.m., free, sponsored by Limerick Township Parks and Recreation, dress in your favorite costume and take home some candy, at Limerick Community Park, Swamp Pike and Ziegler Road, Limerick PA

  • Harvest Fest and Trunk Or Treat Extravaganza, 3-7 p.m., free, costumes not required, sponsored by Community 1st and the Heart of God Family Worship Center, with games, a moonbounce, fac-painting, balloon artist, 50-50 raffle, food, candy bags, decorated cars, non-profit vendors, and DJ music, at the corner of Beech and York streets in Pottstown PA
