POTTSTOWN PA – Applications began being accepted Friday (Sept. 1, 2023) by the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation from area organizations interested in obtaining grant money for projects that meet its eligibility criteria, the foundation said in an e-mail.
Accompanying the opening of the Fall 2023 grant cycle will be a Sept. 7 information session that offers prospective applicants the opportunity “learn more about the grant-making process.” In-person seating for the event is already filled to capacity, but the session also will be available virtually. Those interested virtual attendance can register online.
Also, the foundation noted that it has changed grant management platforms. As a result, all applicant organizations must be registered, even if they previously applied for a grant.
Besides the Friday round opening and the Sept. 7 information session, the foundation recommended prospective applicants be aware of other important dates:
- Technical assistance sessions are scheduled for Sept. 11-25;
- The application window closes Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.;
- Grant award notification are expected to be issued during the week of Dec. 4; and
- Grant terms begin Jan. 1 (2024).
It suggested organizations interested in grant opportunities should visit its online grant-making page. It is intended to provide more information on eligibility, the types of projects it funds, and how it works with partners to develop youth potential and promote equitable health & wellness in Pottstown area communities.
For answers to specific questions, the foundation is accepting e-mails at grantsupport@pottstownfoundation.org.
