MARLBOROUGH PA – Drivers on portions of Upper Ridge Road in Marlborough Township can anticipate possible traffic interruptions through Friday (Sept. 8), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
The department said Upper Ridge Road will be closed and detoured Tuesday through Friday (Sept. 5-8) daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Routes 29 and 63 in the township. The closure is due to a pipe replacement.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas. PennDOT said backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
The work is part of storm water management improvements planned on more than 90 state-owned highways in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties. Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown PA is the general contractor on the project, which has a total value of $14.9 million.
