Moyer Road in Lower Salford to Close, Detour Aug. 14-17

Moyer Road in Lower Salford to Close, Detour Aug. 14-17

August 9, 2023

HARLEYSVILLE PA – Replacement of a failed drainage pipe in Lower Salford, located beneath Moyer Road south of Oak Ridge Lane, is scheduled to begin Monday (Aug. 14, 2023). A township public works crew will perform the work, according to an alert distributed Tuesday (Aug. 8).

The replacement is expected to take two or three days, and depends in part on acceptable weather. To ensure safety and efficiency, the township reported it will close the area surrounding the construction for the duration of the project. Detours are already posted, and emergency personnel have been notified.

The township offered its advance thanks to drivers for their compliance and assistance. The municipality will continue “to identify areas of infrastructure that need repair or replacement” in its efforts to make the roadways safer.

For more information on or answers to questions about the closure, call the Public Works Department at 215-256-8331; or after hours call Lower Salford Police at 215-256-9500. Should an emergency arise, dial 9-1-1.
