ROYERSFORD PA – The threat of severe storms affecting the Royersford area, issued by the National Weather Service, prompted the Spring-Ford Area Historical Society to re-schedule a candy-related program planned for Monday (Aug. 7, 2023).
The society said it had postponed the last of its special summer programs, titled “The History of Candy Making in the Boroughs,” to Aug. 21 (Monday) at 7 p.m. The change represents a two-week delay made necessary by the storm alerts.
The program remains free to attend and open to the public. It is suitable for all ages. Parents of children in kindergarten through 6th grade, who are expected to attend, are asked to register their students in advance so activity packets can be prepared for them. The society said it revised its online registrations page to accommodate the re-scheduling.
