COLLEGEVILLE PA – A performance by “Bigg Romeo,” a band of music professionals who were scheduled to play Thursday (June 8, 2023) in the Borough of Collegeville’s second summer concert at Community Park, has been postponed “for safety reasons due to the uncertain air quality,” the Collegeville Economic Development Corp. reported.
Smoke from Canadian wildfires that settled over a wide swath of Montgomery, Berks, and Chester counties has created unhealthy air conditions, weather forecasters said. They urged area residents to stay indoors and out of the smoke until it has dissipated.
The development corporation said it hoped the concert could be rescheduled later this summer.
