COLLEGEVILLE PA – What’s better than a movie (one to which you can also sing along!) and some museum fun for kids on a Friday night? The answer: a FREE movie, and FREE fun. Thank organizers in Collegeville for both.

“Wicked,” the sing-along movie version, is scheduled to be screened Friday (Aug. 15, 2025) beginning at dusk (or around 8:30 p.m.) on the front lawn of Ursinus College, 601 E. Main St. Visitors are welcome to arrive as early as 7 p.m. It’s recommended they bring chairs and blankets as comfortable seating.
If it rains, or the weather becomes excessively hot, the movie will be moved indoors beginning at about 8 p.m. to Olin Hall on the college campus.
Parking will be free as well. Visitors are urged to enter the campus at East Fifth Avenue behind the Collegeville Fire Company building. They should park around Corson Hall (handicapped parking also is available there), or in lots near the facilities building. Additional parking is offered in the Ninth Ave parking lot, next to 179 E. Ninth Ave.
Elsewhere on Campus: Art, and Food
Before the movie gets under way, the nearby-and-within-sight Berman Museum of Art is open for families to enjoy its indoor exhibits. If folks are up for a stroll once their seating is selected and established, they’re encouraged to check out the campus’ outdoor sculptures. A self-guided tour brochure is available free at the museum.
So what’s to eat?, you ask. The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. will sell Philly-style pretzels, freshly made popcorn, and water. Vendor Kona Ice offers water ice for purchase. Vendor Champion Lowriders Sweet Treats will sell nutella crepes, milk shakes, acai bowls, smoothies, and popsicles.
