HARLEYSVILLE PA – If you’re scouting for a good summer read, or seeking books on a specific topic, the place to start may be during mid-July at the Mennonite Heritage Center, 565 Yoder Rd.
The center says it will offer “thousands of good-condition used books of general interest” for sale July 15-18 (Tuesday through Friday) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and July 19 (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Looking for bargains in the process? For those who get first crack at the good stuff on July 15, hardcovers sell for $3, and paperbacks for $2. It gets better. On July 16, prices drop to $2 for hardcover and $1 for paperbacks. Then, for the remaining three days (July 17-19), buy an entire bag chocked full of books for just $5.
There is one exception, the center adds: rare and collectible books will be individually priced.
A Big, and Cool!, Selection
Book categories include fiction and nonfiction, secular and religious, travel, history, children’s, and others. All are organized by topic. Also available for purchase are CDs, DVDs, and puzzles.
Buyers will additionally benefit from a break in the summer heat. The center’s building is air-conditioned, so the book sale will be both fun and cool for all ages, it says.
For more information or answers to questions, call the Mennonite Heritage Center at 215-256-3020, or send it an e-mail to info@mhep.org.
Got books you’d like to get rid of? Donate them.
