Job Openings Available in Spring City
SPRING CITY PA – Opportunities to provide long-term health care and other services for American veterans and their families will be offered during a job fair scheduled for Nov. 15 (2024; Friday) from noon to 4 p.m. at the Southeastern Veterans’ Center, 1 Veterans Dr., Spring City.
The center hopes to hire registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides, custodial workers, and maintenance repairmen. For some positions full-time or part-time hours, salaried and hourly wages, and shift choices are available.
On-site interviews and conditional offers may be made the day of the event. Candidates are asked to bring two forms of identification, and to apply online in advance for positions in which they are interested.
The event will be conducted by the Annville PA-based Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. It operates the Spring City facility and five other veterans homes across the state. For more information about the job fair call Desiree Cortes at 610-948-2487.

Tractor Supply Continues Scholarship Fund
POTTSTOWN PA – College scholarships to help members of Future Farmers of America pay for agricultural studies will again be funded under a program re-launched Wednesday (Oct. 31, 2024) by Tractor Supply Company and its charitable foundation, it says.
Tractor Supply, which claims to be the nation’s largest “rural lifestyle retailer,” operates stores in Pottstown, Boyertown, and Harleysville.
Its annual scholarship fund-raising drive began in 2022, and the company is donating $1 million a year to the fund over a 5-year period. During the fund’s first two years a total of 289 scholarships were awarded, including those to Pennsylvania students. also have opportunities to interview for Tractor Supply career opportunities while pursuing their education.
Through Nov. 10 (Sunday), its customers can donate to the fund at their stores’ checkout counters, it adds.
