COVID, Flu Vaccine Clinics Offering Local Appointments

POTTSTOWN PA – Local appointments remain available for upcoming vaccination clinics for 2024-25 COVID-19 and flu vaccines, 146th District state Rep. Joe Ciresi reports. Clinics are scheduled in Pottstown King of Prussia, and Blue Bell.

Appointments for all locations can be made online with the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, or by calling 610-970-5040, 610-278-5145, or 215-784-5415.

  • The Blue Bell clinic will be held Oct. 19 (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in College Hall at Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pk., Blue Bell PA;
  • An Upper Merion clinic will be held Oct. 22 (Tuesday) from 2:30-7 p.m. at the Upper Merion Township Building, 175 W. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia PA; and
  • The Pottstown clinic will be held Oct. 24 (Thursday) from 2:30-7 p.m. at Bethel Community Church, 575 N. Keim St., Pottstown PA.

Individuals who have appropriate medical insurance are asked to bring their cards.

Receiving an up-to-date vaccine can restore or enhance protection against virus variants currently responsible for most infections and hospitalizations in the United States, Ciresi’s latest newsletter indicates. If you live or work in Montgomery County, it adds, there is no cost for these vaccinations.

Vaccines Available for Home-Bound Too

Additionally, the county Homebound Vaccine Program offers COVID-19 and flu vaccines to eligible home-bound individuals who have health insurance. Call or text the county at 610-281-4933, or send it an e-mail at montcovaccine@gmail.com to schedule an in-home vaccine appointment.

COVID-19 vaccines for home-bound individuals, regardless of their insurance status, also are offered by the county Department of Public Safety through its Mobile Integrated Health Unit. They can be scheduled by calling 610-631-3079; leave a voicemail for a return call.
