Weekend Stuff May 10-12: A Past Travels Calendar

POTTSTOWN PA – Sunday is Mother’s Day (made those dinner reservations yet?), and surely whatever is planned with her will be an excellent outing.

If, however, you’re interested in activities and things to do – or still searching for that perfect event Mom is sure to enjoy – the Travels With The Post calendar lists more than 30 activities and events. All occur Friday, Saturday, or Sunday (May 10-12, 2024) in western Montgomery, eastern Berks, and northern Chester counties.

Some weekend events are free. Some have fees (labeled as “ticketed”). Some have limitations, registrations, or other conditions. Some may be affected by weather conditions (hint: if unsure, call before you go). Each weekend listing includes a link for more information.

Friday, May 10

  • “Regional Home Garden Contest” registration, around the clock online, free to participate, sponsored by Mosaic Community Land Trust, Building A Better Boyertown, and the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation; open to area residents with prizes awarded in several categories, registration deadline June 21, in Pottstown PA, Boyertown PA, and vicinity
  • Exhibit: “Jamie Wyeth: Unsettled,” 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., ticketed, tracing a persistent vein of intriguing imagery in the career of renowned artist Jamie Wyeth, on display through June 9 at the Brandywine Museum of Art, 1 Hoffman’s Mill Rd., Chadds Ford PA
  • Preschool Story Time, 10 a.m. to noon, free, geared toward preschool children ages 3-5, with a book and a fun craft to do, and a special guest from Berks County Intermediate Unit will be available to talk with parents, at Boyertown Community Library, 24 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown PA

  • Pottstown Distillery Tours, 6-8:30 p.m., ticketed, a group tour of the Manatawny Still Works, at 320 Circle of Progress Dr #104, Pottstown PA
  • Designer Bag Bingo, starts at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.), ticketed, benefits the TriCounty Active Adult Center, includes 16 regular games, four special games, raffle baskets, food and beverages available for purchase, held at the center, 288 Moser Rd., Pottstown PA
