SCHUYLKILL HAVEN PA – A job fair for individuals interested in working in District 5 of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), which includes Berks County, is scheduled for Tuesday (April 16, 2024) in Schuylkill Haven.

PennDOT representatives say the event, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in its Schuylkill County Office, 970 E. Main St., will include on-the-spot interviews, pre-employment screenings, and conditional job offers. Those who attend can learn about available opportunities. District and county employees will be on hand to answer questions, and help with the application process.

PennDOT is looking to fill a variety of positions in the county. They include commercial drivers’ license (CDL) operators, highway maintenance workers, summer employees, student summer workers, and auto mechanic interns. Applicants should bring an updated copy of their resume. CDL operators also should bring their current driver’s license and medical card.

Applicants can see currently available positions at the state employment website.

PennDOT does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability. Any person requiring special accommodations is requested to contact the PennDOT Schuylkill County office at 570-385-7812 before the event.
