ALLENTOWN PA – Brush cutting to be conducted along U.S. Route 422 in both directions, specifically between the Montgomery County and Lebanon County lines, will begin Monday (March 4, 2024) and end Friday (March 8), according to the District 5 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation
The district is responsible, in part, for state-maintained roads in Berks County, which is affected by the notice.
It said PennDOT maintenance forces will perform the upcoming road work during daytime hours, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It added that no lane closures are anticipated, as crews will be working at the road’s shoulders. However, it asked drivers to “please use caution driving through the work zone.”
The work may be delayed by inclement weather, it noted.
