Stormwater Work Ahead on State-Maintained Highways

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Stormwater improvements are planned next week on several state highways in western Montgomery County, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said. Locations include Skippack, Lower Salford, Limerick, and Lower Pottsgrove townships.

The department reported that:

  • Cross Road will be closed and detoured, weekdays only Monday (Feb. 19, 2024) through March 1 (Friday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Route 113 and Route 73 in Skippack and Lower Salford townships;
  • Evergreen Road will be closed and detoured Wednesday through Friday (Feb. 21-23) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, between Linfield Road and Lightcap Road in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships; and
  • Evergreen Road will be closed and detoured around-the-clock Feb. 26 (Monday) through March 15 (Friday), between Linfield Road and Lightcap Road in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships. Drivers will be directed to detour using Rupert Road, High Street, Pleasantview Road, and Linfield Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near or through the work areas. The schedule depends on acceptable weather, and work-related backups and delays will occur, PennDOT said. Highway Materials Inc. of Flourtown is the project’s general contractor.
