ROYERSFORD PA – A community blood drive is scheduled for Feb. 20 (2024; Tuesday) in the borough.
The drive will be held from 1-7 p.m. at Friendship Ambulance, 269 Green St. Parking for the event is accessible from South 3rd Avenue, and with an entrance in the back of the building. It’s being hosted in a partnership of Friendship Ambulance; state Sen. Katie Muth, whose 44th District includes portions of Chester, Montgomery, and Berks counties; and the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.
The event is intended to help meet what Miller-Keystone calls the “constant reality” of demand for blood and blood products. Although all types of blood are welcomed, donations of blood types AB-, A-, B-, O-, and O+ are in shorter supply and high need.
Appointments are strongly encouraged. Make an appointment online, or by calling 800-223-6667, toll-free. All donors must provide a valid photo ID on the day of the blood drive.
For more information, call Muth’s office at 610-792-2137.
