STROUDSBURG PA – Those who are into anything from board games to extended play video shoot-em-ups on a digital screen are likely be hooked by Sherma-Con. Organizers call it one-day “an all-inclusive gamer’s paradise” that’s scheduled for Jan. 27 (2024; Saturday) from 2-10 p.m. in Stroudsburg.
The program, held in the Sherman Theater at 524 Main St., runs the gamut from tabletop to digital challenges. It includes a variety of board games available to check out and learn, as well as free-play video game consoles. The conference also features comic and anime artists, and a cosplay contest judged by accomplished cosplayers.
Sherma-Con is suitable for all ages, organizers said, however alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase only by those age 21 or older with valid identification. Food, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages also will offered by vendors.
Tickets for the event are now available online. They also can be ordered by calling its box office at 570-420-2808, or by sending an e-mail to ticketsales@shermantheater.com. The theater is a 73-mile drive from Pottstown on PA Routes 100 and 33.

During later decades, the theater said it has become a central point of the community that presents high-in-demand artists, assists in community betterment of the community, and makes itself publicly accessible.
