RED HILL PA – A weekdays-only lane closure is being scheduled through the end of December on Route 29 in Red Hill Borough, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
Utility construction by PECO Energy will close a single lane on the state-owned highway – locally known as Main Street – between 4th and 5th streets on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Dec. 4 and 29, PennDOT reported. The agency did not specify the nature of the work involved, but added it was authorized under a PennDOT highway occupancy permit.
Drivers were advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas. PennDOT claimed backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activity depends on acceptable weather.
