LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Oil-and-stone resurfacing of three roads in the Brookside Farms housing community is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday (July 17-18, 2023), Lower Pottsgrove Township reported.
A post Tuesday (July 11) on the township Facebook page asked that “all vehicles and accessories (such as basketball nets and other items) be removed from the streets and curbing” of Potter Drive, New Kepler Road, and Overlook Drive. That will allow “the project (to) proceed with as little conflict as possible,” it added.
“For your safety and protection,” the township said, adults and children alike should keep away from all heavy machinery, “even during non-working hours when the equipment is parked.” Obey all work zone traffic control signs, detours, and directives around the job site, it also requested.
Roads will receive two applications of asphalt emulsion, covered by half-inch- and quarter-inch-sized stone. It will be followed by a “curing period of one to two weeks” before the loose stone is swept up. Immediately following the sweeping, an application of asphalt fog seal will be applied, all according to the township.
“Delays may occur during this project,” it also warned. The project schedule is tentative and depends on acceptable weather.
