POTTSTOWN PA – Now that it has settled into a new location, Family Services of Montgomery County will hold an open house event Thursday (Nov. 5, 2026) from 3-6 p.m. at its Pottstown office, 2199 Buchert Rd. The public is welcome to attend.

“We’d love for you to join us!,” the agency reported in an e-mail. “Stop by to tour our new Pottstown office, meet our dedicated team, and learn how we’re transforming lives and inspiring hope for children, seniors, and families throughout Montgomery County,” it added.

An online RSVP is not required, but would be appreciated for planning purposes, it said.

Family Services is a registered non-profit. It offers programs and assistance for family support, health and wellness issues, housing, older adults, parent education, re-entry services, and substance abuse prevention.

A Move from East High Street

Its Pottstown offices were formerly located at 1976 E. High St. in Sanatoga village. Family Services purchased the former Lower Pottsgrove Township municipal building in December 2025 for $1,010,000, and then renovated the interior for its purposes.

It opened this year during late June.

Among older adults, one of its most well-know local programs is Meals On Wheels.

It supplies two nutritious meals, up to seven days a week, for adults over age 60 who are deemed to be at “significant risk of malnutrition.” That service now operates from the Buchert Road address, also after many years at East High Street.

The East High property is available for purchase, and is currently listed with Coldwell Banker Realty. The agency’s headquarters is in Norristown.
