POTTSTOWN PA – “Livewire,” a local rock band that includes Lower Pottsgrove township commissioner Bill Keohane as a member musician, will be the featured performers at a July 19 (2026; Sunday) fund-raising concert to benefit the non-profit Adventure Grove Inclusive Playground.
The concert is just one part of Adventure Grove’s 3rd annual Summer Fest, being held from 5:30-8 p.m. at the township’s Sanatoga Park and its band shell, 290 S. Sanatoga Rd. The music starts at 6 p.m.
Summer Fest also will feature a basket raffle, 50-50 drawing, The Munch Boxx food truck offering food and beverages for purchase, and a display about and information on the proposed playground.
Organizers say the event represents a chance “to win some goodies, spend time with friends, listen to amazing music, and learn more” about the group’s mission and plans to support the community.
All proceeds will directly benefit the inclusive playground project at Sanatoga Park. Also, donations to the project are tax-deductible.

Providing Fun for All Children
The project continues to make progress in reaching its goal, thanks to the receipt of grants that have so far supported its early stages. Upper Pottsgrove Township also has provided support for Adventure Grove.
Adventure Grove has been in planning and development stages for several years. It would replace the park’s existing tot-lot playground near its upper north-end entrance on South Park Road.
The non-profit’s goal is to “accommodate children of all abilities and backgrounds” on playground equipment that ensures “ all kids can play together and have a positive play experience.”
Research indicates inclusive playground settings:
- Encourage physical activity for the development of motor skills, coordination, and overall physical health;
- Build independence and confidence to engage in activities using accessible equipment on their own;
- Prompt parental involvement, because inclusive playgrounds can bring parents of children with disabilities together in a supportive community; and
- Reinforce the positive image and reputation of a community committed to inclusivity and accessibility.
Attend, Enjoy, Sponsor
Adventure Grove has engaged Chattanooga TN consultant Play & Park Structures to create plans for the coming playground. They call for the installation of a new play surface and about a dozen pieces of play and exercise equipment.
All are purposely designed and created to be used by children of all ages and abilities.
Attendance at Summer Fest is free and open to the public, with free and ample parking available on-site. The concert is the latest in a series of seasonal music events hosted by Lower Pottsgrove.
Adventure Grove’s members hope concert-goers will support its efforts. Vendor and sponsor opportunities remain available as well. For more information, send an e-mail to adventuregroveplayground@gmail.com, or call 484-624-2507.
